You can try and click “forgot your password” and recover the ID by filling out all your original info used when you made the account. If the thief has changed your ZIP and alternate email this will NOT work.
You may be prompted to choose between “I have never used a credit card with Yahoo!” or ” I have used a credit card with Yahoo!” PLACE A DOT IN I have never used a credit card with Yahoo!
and click continue to recover your account.
if your account has been stolen, there is not much chance you will get your ID back as all original info will be changed and although yahoo says it recognises original info, THEY DO NOT, as once the thief changes the ZIP and primary email the recovery process anywhere though yahoo is useless. It is this new ZIP that Yahoo will recognise in recovery, not the original one you used when making the account.
Yahoo will not listen to you without that original personal info matching.
Make sure you have a good password something with letters and numbers in it the Yahoo generated passwords are the hardest to crack.
