Credit Card?

That is acceptable, but it’s easier if you go online and apply for really any type of credit card that you want. Some companies will not want to give you a card unless it is secured if you don’t have any previous credit. You’re best bet it to try a department store first, even though their interest rates are the highest. This way once you get a card and make a purchase, you can pay it off quickly. Keep doing this and your credit will be established. jsut don’t go overboard and end up like the rest of us who are in debt up to our ears.

I got a credit card when I was 17 with no job. so I know you can get one at 18.

Matt~ You are WAY ahead of yourself. You’ve watched too much TV or been hanging with the wrong folk. You don’t need credit at age 18. You won’t even need it at age 22.
What you do need is fiscal discipline. Save your money, pay cash. Laugh at the fools who take on debt, screw up their lives and wonder “What happened?”

you could get a personal loan and pay it off in a few months that way you could buid good credit or you could get a credit card use it for everyday purchases and make the full payment at the end of the month that way you do not pay interest and build credit.
